The Creative Comrades is a collaboration that emerges from the union between the Media Art & Design working group and We the Liberated People of The Debt Collective Theatre Troupe. Historically, our ethos has been centered around bringing together debtors in sharing their debt stories through art in various mediums.
In our meetings, we weave together community, through storytelling and creative actions, to resist debt relations under capitalism. We braid narratives that celebrate resiliency, joy and revolution to transform personal struggle into catalysts for collective change. Whether it’s live theatre, graphic design, written works, protest signs or any other artistic endeavor, we proudly gather to produce propaganda in service of all debtors and the working class. Whatever way you are creative, you are welcome here. We envision a world beyond debt. With everything we do, we hope you will see it too.
