Vivmark Residential—a corporate titan owning over 180,000 units across the country—was formed on August 17th from the merger of two large landlords, Equity Residential and AvalonBay Communities. This mega landlord will have a major impact on housing market across the country and wield enormous political power nationally through lobbying and electioneering.
