We are eager to collaborate and build collective power together. By joining forces, we aim to bring an end to the criminal legal debt system and set families free of their unjust financial obligations. 

We recognize that even joining in solidarity at times may take a large effort so in order to speed up the process we have developed this toolkit that provides valuable assistance with context, messaging, social media, and outreach. We encourage you to utilize these resources as we collectively strive for a more equitable future. 

Mission 

Our mission is to empower impacted communities by mobilizing and advocating against racially motivated, unjust, and illegitimate methods of stripping resources away from youth and families within the adult and juvenile criminal legal system.

Vision 

We envision a free future where no one is compelled to bear the financial burdens of their own incarceration, thereby eliminating the disproportionate impact on low-income communities of color and women.

Goal

Through our collective efforts, we aim to bring to light the need for abolition and begin to shift the power imbalance between debtors and creditors in order to abolish the criminal legal system and beyond and achieve transformative justice and equity for all.
