The Corinthian 15 and Beyond
Nearly ten years ago 15 former students at Corinthian College declared a student debt strike sparking the movement for broad-based student debt cancellation in the United States. Soon students from other schools like Art Institute and ITT Tech joined the strike. After many twists and turns and battles most students at Corinthian, AI and ITT have won full cancellation, and roughly 10% of all student debtors have gotten cancellation. For the first time since 1965 the total amount of student debt has gone down instead of up.
