Office Hours: Student Loans & Filing Your Taxes

This session will cover some Frequently Asked Questions related to tax filing and student loans, and will also provide information about free tax filing resources from GetYour Refund.

If you haven’t filed your taxes yet, there may be unclaimed refunds and credits that belong to you. It’s easy to file to get your money! You can file online for free at GetYourRefund.org.

*For any debtors with federal student loans in default, we DO NOT EXPECT that your tax refund will be seized to repay your student loan because of the temporary pause on forced collections that was announced in January of 2026.
