Medical Debt Teach-In & Assembly
We’re facing a growing national medical debt crisis. Recent estimates place the amount of medical debt *in collections alone* somewhere in the range of $88 to $140 billion—and those numbers don’t even include most of the medical debt more than 100 million Americans are carrying in credit card balances, personal loans, payment plans, and other methods that leave us struggling to make ends meet. People are increasingly afraid to seek medical treatment, postponing the care we need out of fear of the cost. Who can blame us?
Join the Debt Collective for a Medical Debt Teach-In and Debtors Assembly to learn more about how our profit-driven healthcare system is driving this crisis, share our experiences with American healthcare costs, and discuss how we can fight back.
