DESCRIPTION:\nUPMC is buying up hospitals and health systems across Pennsyl
 vania and pocketing the profits. Their near-monopoly across much of Wester
 n &amp\; Central PA has allowed them to raise healthcare costs while cutti
 ng services\, squeezing patients and workers and driving people into debt 
 — and their power is growing.\n\n\n\nUPMC’s practices are charting a d
 angerous course in American healthcare\, and health systems across the cou
 ntry are looking to them to see just how much they can get away with. Enou
 gh is enough: we can’t let corporate behemoths take control over our hea
 lth\, our jobs\, and our lives.\n\n\n\nMedical debt and hospital consolida
 tion don’t exist in a vacuum — they are symptoms of our predatory\, pr
 ofit-driven healthcare system.\n\n\n\nWe don’t need massive corporations
  that see dollar signs when they hear the word “sick”. We need a healt
 hcare system that’s public\, universal\, and good for its patients and w
