SUMMARY:College for All Jubilee School: How to Win
DESCRIPTION:This final session of the College for All Jubilee School series
  will look forward and discuss how we can win tuition free public college\
 , dignified labor conditions\, academic freedom\, and debt cancellation. S
 peakers will include Aissa Canchola Bañez and Sara Garcia (bios below).\n
 \n 	Aissa Canchola Bañez is Policy Director at Protect Borrowers\, former
 ly known as the Student Borrower Protection Center. Protect Borrowers is a
  non profit policy\, litigation and advocacy organization fighting to buil
 d an economy where people come first and debt doesn’t limit opportunity.
  As policy director\, she oversees the organization’s work advancing pol
 icies that alleviate the crushing burden of debt on working families acros
 s the country. Previously\, she led legislative development and strategy a
 s Legislative Director and Deputy Chief of Staff for Congresswoman Ayanna 
 Pressley. Prior to that she served as a Policy Advisor for the Senate Heal
 th\, Education\, Labor and Pensions Committee where she handled higher edu
 cation affordability and access issues and also spent time at the Consumer
  Financial Protection Bureau where she fought to protect students and youn
 g consumers from being ripped off.\n 	Sara Garcia leads the higher educati
 on policy portfolio for Ranking Member Sanders (I-VT) as a deputy educatio
 n policy director on the Health\, Education\, Labor\, and Pensions Committ
 ee. Sara was formerly a political strategy and outreach manager at Crooked
  Media\, where in addition to her role in the Crooked Media Workers Union\
 , she worked with state parties\, campaigns\, and grassroots organizations
  to develop political and campaign priorities. Before Crooked\, she served
  in the Department of Education working to remove barriers for low-income 
 students and students of color in the financial aid process. Sara was born
  and raised in Texas\, and hails from San Antonio.\n\nThis session is a pa
 rt of the larger Jubilee School: College for All series.
