DESCRIPTION:Colleges and universities are core to our communities and econo
 my. How do we grow the higher ed labor movement while building consciousne
 ss of ourselves as workers? Join speakers from HELU to explore strategies 
 for building connections and trust between very different kinds of workers
  so that we can move in coordinated action in the future.\n\nHigher Educat
 ion Labor United (HELU) is a national organization founded in 2021 to unit
 e workers throughout U.S. higher education. HELU brings together unions th
 at represent staff\, student workers\, adjunct\, contingent\, and tenured 
 faculty\, postdocs\, university health system workers\, and others. We com
 e together to create and pursue a unified vision for higher education and 
 to add our strength to a reinvigorated U.S. labor movement. Unions and org
 anizations representing over 225\,000 higher ed and allied workers across 
 the U.S. have joined HELU as member organizations.\n\nThis session is a pa
 rt of the larger Jubilee School: College for All series.
